Five Taboos of Diets on Health Care

Prevention Center of geriatrics in Huadong Hospital reminded all the old people: diets on health care are important, but you should also remember five taboos.

1. Only eat vegetables but no meat

From the perspective of anti-aging and benefiting longevity, an absolute vegetarian diet is not desirable. Only with meat and vegetables being together, comprehensive nutrition, and balanced diet, it is the way leading to health and longevity.

2. The longer the soup is cooked, the more nutrition it has

Prefer eating stir-fried foods

5. The more seasoning condiments we add, the tastier the dish is

Medical studies have confirmed that the natural seasonings such as pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and cumin have certain carcinogenicity and toxicity. After excessive consumption of them, the light symptoms are dry mouth, sore throat, lethargy, insomnia and so on; the heavy symptoms are causing hypertension, gastroenteritis and other diseases, and even it is possibly to damage cells to form f cancer. Therefore, in our daily diet, we should use the above seasonings as little as possible.
